In the ancient Latin language 'Marea' was the name given to some children and it meant: Of the sea. This name was often given to those sons or daughters of fishermen born near the sea or destined to become sailors. It was also a name given to some fishing boats to invoke auspiciousness and protection of the oceans. This incredible chandelier-sculpture, entirely modeled by hand, evokes the shape of corals, starfish, sea urchins and in its sinuous forms you can glimpse the movement of the ocean waves.
