AFRICA is a designer lamp inspired by an experience of photographic reports in African territories by designer Daniele Gualeni. The lamp shape expresses the silhouette of an African woman, dressed with a veil on her head and a cape around her shoulders. AFRICA is composed of two ceramic cones finely molded by hand and stacked one atop the other. The upper part of the piece, in addition to symbolizing the bright face of a woman, illuminates the entire body of the lamp, preventing it from being in shadow and from disappearing when the lamp is turned on (as is the case with the usual non-transparent conical lamps).
The lower and upper openings of AFRICA also create a spontaneous ventilation effect that allows the lamp to use bulbs of different powers without excessive overheating.
The AFRICA designer lamp is unique, simple yet original, rich in meaning and inspiration, an object which, like the women who inspired it, is strong and able to adapt to any environment and in our case any architectural environment.

A ceramic pendant lamp inspired by the ancient and rich tradition of African clothing such as veils and cloaks. Two overlapping cones let the light and warmth radiate evenly by the opening of the “face.”
All pendants come as a single unit with a cable length of 4½ feet and its corresponding ceiling canopy. However, each pendent light is fully customizable and can be combined with multiple pendants on varying canopies. Feel free to mix and match with our other fabulous models.
